Zonal Fares
The following is a sample of the changes in the fare structure for the Severn Beach line following the introduction of zonal fares on the 20th May 2007.
The fares quoted are all between the named station and Bristol Temple Meads.
Historically the fares on the beach line have been low in comparison to other journeys. However some people, especially those from Bristols more disadvantaged communities, are now facing fare increases of 100%.
The increase in fares between stations on the line is likely to be more substantial.
